Once I'm handed a story to illustrate, the creative wheels start turning. I think drawing and designing the characters that best illustrate the story. It's important for me to create unique dimensional backgrounds for animated spaces. The combination of the still elements in harmony with the motion and action of the characters, is essential in my animation drafts.

Animation Project Service Steps

Step 1: Drawings Style Frames - The first step, once you have a story you want to animate. Drawing some of the elements that we want to convey in the video. For this step I make 5 to 7 illustrations. These are meant to render the characters and particular key events in detailed drawing. This is a first look of the video for style.

Step 2: The Storyboard and Animatic - At this point I develop a story board mapping out each scene.This is followed by sketch video (animatic). This is rough timing of the entire animation, with marks to represent planned movement. During this step we work on the framing of the project. The animatic stage is full of gesture drawings.

Step 3: Animation Draft - An animation video with 50% of the animation complete, with no final color.

Step 4: Animation Draft 2 - This is the completed full color animation project. Ready to be approved, pending minor changes and corrections.

Step 5: Final Animation Delivery - A final high resolution animated video file is delivered and ready for distribution.

2D Animations - Hand crafted designs authentic to the story. 2D Animations can be full fledged stories with vivid characters, but it can also be an engaging tool to incorporate into videos. I can draw unique characters with bright and interesting stories.

2D animation is a great tool for educational videos! Animated Music Videos can visualize music and be unique and visually captivating. Animated titles and graphic moments keep videos interesting.

Motion Graphics Design - Motion graphics are great for reality TV, Live programs and Social Media Videos. But just like animation, Motion graphics design can be used for complete video presentations, it's a great tool to present data information clearly.

I make motion graphics for all kinds of videos. Most projects need a package of title graphics, lower thirds, Logo animation, presentation boxes and transitions.

Branding a video with motion graphic elements helps solidify the identity of the brand.

Video Compositing - Incorporating animated elements, motion graphics and visual effects into videos. Video compositing is for live action videos using a green screen, to brand live action video with animated elements.

As an animation designer I work on drawing from written prompts taking careful consideration of projects vision.

The Prince and The Sphinx Animation
Project for Flocabulary

In this Flocabulary video the grammar lesson is in metaphors. The story follows Thutmose IV's quest of discovery to gain the knowledge to become the next pharaoh of Egypt. As depicted by the hieroglyphs written on the tablets of the sphinx, who speaks to him in the desert revealing his true calling.
